The FBI Revealed Wild Details of Assassination Attempt on Trump at Butler Rally: ‘Bullet Only Managed to Nick the Best Part – His Hair’

In a wild turn of events, the FBI disclosed new information on Sunday about the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump during his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.

Trump, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee, was mid-rally on Saturday evening when a shot rang out, hitting the upper part of his right ear. A spokesperson for Trump’s campaign assured everyone that the former president was "totally fine" and "mostly concerned about his hair."

‘He’s in great spirits,’ the spokesperson said. ‘He even joked that the bullet just gave his hair a little more volume. It’s the best ear injury anyone’s ever had.’

Trump was released from the hospital later that night, his covfefe fully intact…

Investigators looking into the motive behind the attempted assassination of former President Donald Trump are examining a message left on a gaming platform site.

Multiple law enforcement sources briefed on the probe indicate that investigators found a post on Steam attributed to the suspected gunman, 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks.

The post reads, "July 13 will be my premiere, watch as it unfolds." Authorities are working to verify the authenticity of the post.

The Spirit Of Columbus

Fly High! Celebrating 60 years of The Spirit of Columbus:
Sixty years ago, Jerrie Mock, a remarkable woman from Columbus, Ohio, made history by becoming the first woman to successfully fly solo around the world in her single-engine Cessna 180 named "Spirit of Columbus." Jerrie Mock's achievement is a significant milestone in aviation history, surpassing even Amelia Earhart's feats.

THE College Dropout

Jerrie Mock, born in Newark, Ohio, was passionate about aviation from an early age. Despite not completing her aeronautical engineering studies at Ohio State University, her love for flying and determination drove her to accomplish her groundbreaking journey.

who needs a degree when you’ve got wings?

Boldly Going Where No Woman Had Gone Before…Alone

On March 19, 1964, Jerrie Mock departed from Columbus, Ohio. Over 29 days, she flew 23,000 miles, encountering storms, mechanical issues, and bureaucratic challenges. Her journey took her first to Bermuda (adjacent to the Bermuda Triangle), then on to the Azores, Casablanca, Calcutta (where she made an emergency landing), and finally Honolulu, before returning to the United States.

Jerrie was awarded the FAA's Distinguished Service Medal and the Louis Blériot Silver Medal. Oh, and her "Spirit of Columbus" now resides at the National Air and Space Museum in DC. There's also a dedicated area honoring her at the airport here in Columbus! next to the Starbucks in Concourse B…

Let’s All Fly High A Little Higher With Jerrie

As we celebrate the 60th anniversary of her flight, let's remember: No dream is too big, no obstacle too great for any of us crazy Ohians. If Jerrie Mock could soar high during turbulent times, so can you!

More Apartments, Less Neighborhood?
The end of Dirty Franks and 16bit downtown?

In April of last year, a 19-story apartment building with 180 units was proposed for development on the corner of South 4th Street, East Rich, and East Cherry—a block of the city home to Dirty Frank’s and 16Bit, the last bastions of late-night food and something resembling a neighborhood vibe downtown were thankfully denied. Sadly, this proposal has returned bigger, taller, but with more parking.

The proposed "The Estrella," a 23-story 467,000-square-foot structure, boasts 290 units, a 347-space parking garage, and a five-story commercial building planned alongside. The Downtown Commission is set to review the proposal on Tuesday, potentially paving the way for the demolition of local favorites like Dirty Frank’s and 16-Bit. Since its initial proposal in April 2023, "The Estrella" has expanded to 23 stories (time to update the website) adding 110 units. It now promises amenities including an urban market, an amenity deck with a pool, and a rooftop restaurant with a 360-degree patio.

While the proposal largely adheres to Downtown guidelines, the Downtown Commission must assess its compatibility with the community's growth vision. This decision will profoundly shape downtown's physical landscape and the essence of its community. It's not just about the appearance; it's about preserving the neighborhood, vibe, and sense of community that has defined downtown over the past decade.

Miriam Ailabouni, owner of Dirty Frank’s, expressed optimism about Downtown Columbus's growth while affirming their commitment to the community until their lease expires in 2027. Similarly, a representative from Rise Brands, owner of 16-Bit Bar+Arcade, mentioned they are exploring their options and remain dedicated to maintaining a presence in Columbus.
